AVER

AVER is the artistic union of Verbose and Alicia Nurho. This beautiful encounter responds to the need of both to explore new stylistic paths, learn from each other, and execute a programmatic concept that contains an end in itself.

“Sacro – Mundane” or “το ιερό – εγκόσμιο” is made up of five movements and is the result of the creative dialogue between Alicia Nurho and Verbose, concentrated in a cocktail in the form of experimental electronics, based on the soul of dark pop, with baroque, renaissance, popular and folkloric elements. The format of the show comes from a ritual element that unites us with our remote past and that uses elements of the Greek choirs, the altars of the hearths, the laments of the mourners, the voices of our folklore, and is transformed into an inner environment in which the very essence of the creators merges: the human and the mortal. The musical component of our proposal is threaded with the visual, with self-generating living systems reactive to music.

Selbst premiered at the international documentary film festival ‘Play-doc‘.
